[1] : "Shooting a wish at a star I don't remember" represents a desperate act of hope performed without any real foundation or belief. The phrase mi ni oboe no nai is stronger than just "I forgot"; it implies a complete lack of recognition, as if the speaker is being confronted with something entirely alien.
The speaker is in such a state of despair and confusion that they are performing a ritual of hope (wishing on a star) but are doing so blindly and forcefully. They are disconnected from the very source of their hope.

[2] : "Kono yubi tomare" is the call for a very common Japanese children's game. One child, acting as the leader or "it" (鬼, oni), holds up their index finger and shouts "Kono yubi tomare!" which literally means "Stop on this finger!". Other children who want to play run over and touch the leader's finger with their own. It's a way to gather friends and decide who is playing the next game. Here, the game is stripped of its joyful innocence. It's not a happy call on a playground; it's a desperate plea from someone lost in darkness. The speaker is using the language of childhood to beg for rescue and connection. They are saying, "I am alone and scared in the dark. Please find me. Please gather around me and prove I'm not alone." It transforms a call to play into a haunting S.O.S., highlighting the speaker's extreme loneliness and their yearning to be found and saved.

[3] : A punishment. Striking someone's wrist with one's index and middle finger.

[1] The Japanese proverb "石の上にも三年" (Ishi no ue ni mo san-nen) translates to "Three years on a stone." This means that even if you sit on a cold stone for three years, it will become warm. The proverb emphasizes the values of perseverance, patience, and endurance. It suggests that if you persist in your efforts over time, even in difficult or seemingly unchangeable circumstances, you will eventually see results or improvement. In the context of the line "石の上にも残念!" (Ishi no ue ni mo zannen!), it seems to be playing on this proverb. Instead of finding warmth or success through perseverance, the speaker expresses disappointment ("zannen!") despite the time and effort, indicating that their persistence has not led to the desired outcome. This twist adds a layer of irony or frustration, contrasting with the hopeful message of the original proverb.

Tama ni wa, ii koto aru kamo
Sometimes, good things might happen

ご褒美にはチョコレート 甘い夢を見れたら
Gohoubi ni wa chokoreeto, amai yume o miretara
As a reward here's a chocolate, if I could have a sweet dream

それがすべてだなんて笑い飛ばそう
Sore ga subete da nante warai tobasou
Let's laugh at the fact that that's all there is to it

Final Chorus :

あの丘まで進めストレート 見えない音に耳傾け
Ano oka made susume sutoreeto, mienai oto ni mimi katamuke
Advance straight to that hill. Listen to the invisible sound

聴こえた?手招きする声
Kikoe ta? Temaneki suru koe
Did you hear it? The voice that beckons

いくつかのバリケード壊せ 知れば知るほど
Ikutsu ka no barikedo kowase shireba shiruhodo
Break through several barriers. The more you know

わからなくもなるくらい不思議な世界
Wakaranaku mo naru kurai, fushigi na sekai
The less you understand it. A world so mysterious.
